Hellgate Farm is a New York farm based both downstate in Astoria, Queens, NYC and upstate in Canaan, New York. We wish to promote human powered market gardening, responsible land stewardship, and a permaculture lifestyle in both our upstate and downstate communities. We aim to provide opportunities for people interested in these practices to connect and learn. It is important to us that our produce goes to feed people representative of our communities, of varying socioeconomic status. Read more about our story here.

Hellgate Farm

Hellgate Farm has partnered with The Astoria Food Pantry and The Connected Chef on community initiatives that provide groceries free of charge to residents in western queens.

A large majority of our neighbors live paycheck to paycheck and for a number of reasons, do not qualify for unemployment benefits or government aid.

Our organizations have always prioritized healthy food for all and now is a time when our neighbors need us the most. Read more about our partnership here.
